I can't see the .bin file for latest Kong release? Currently running on Kong build 26970M and wondering if I should be upgrading to a newer version?

It's honestly really hard to find information on this, lol..

I'm running Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r27506 (07/09/15) std from a .chk file I downloaded from http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/ onto my new R7000. It is running fine.

I want to update, especially to use OpenVPN 2.3.8. Today, there are several files in that site dated 07-Sep-2015.

From what I see posted here, it seems I should NOT use dd-wrt.K3_R7000.chk to upgrade, but rather I should use dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin ? Is this correct?

If this is correct, then I assume I can just upload the .bin file into the router and re-configure it according the notes I made when first installing the .chk file?

Thanks.

Did you get openvpn client working well on the 9/7 Kong build? I have it running on my Asus 68u but experienced openvpn performance issues.

I'm having issues with VPN disconnecting which seems to be a known issue and see that 26160 is the last known version to have stable VPN. Searching through BS and Kong sites I can't find this version. Can someone help and point me to a place to download it?

Thanks

Guys, Thanks for all your help recently! I really appreciate it!

I'm kinda confused on what are the best settings for my wifi profile. I went thru the guides and it seems that there is some confusion on whether to used mixed or not? I'm mostly concerned about my 2.4 settings as I have multiple smart home and SONOS products that use that frequency. Is the current config the best? I'm living in a very congested apartment building.

Thanks!

Set your 2.4ghz on 20mhz and use channel 1,6 or 11.

Hi everyone.

I flashed Brainslayers latest firmware for my R7000, and having issues.

I want to try the Kong firmware.

Am I able to flash from Brainslayer direct to Kong using the .bin file?

I'm having a difficult time too.

These are the settings I'm using now and none of my devices can connect on the ng or ac networks. Is there anything I should change here?

Hi,

As a new dd-wrt user I had a lot of trouble to find out how to install a package manager, the information available on the wiki seems to outdated.

Perhaps http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=975520 should be included in the list of tips and tricks?

Hi All!

Someone tried to use Policy Based Routing with R7000 and DD-WRT Kong Mod firmware?

I want something like this:

Code:

ip rule add from 192.168.1.0/24 table 100
ip rule add from 192.168.2.0/24 table 200
ip route add default via 10.0.0.1 dev ppp0 table 100
ip route add default via 10.0.1.1 dev vlan3 table 200

I try to execute this commads. But I do not see any changes in routing tables.

"ip route list tabel table 100" and "ip rule list" show nothing...[/code]

It's been a while but I am currently running Kong firmware and want to upgrade to the newer one which is getting good results.

Netgear R7000

Does it matter if I use the chk file or the bin file?

Not sure of the difference and can't locate the answer on a search.

Thanks in advance.
