I used the following guide to install Entware:

https://gist.github.com/dreamcat4/6e58639288c1a1716b85

I successfully installed:

mc
nano
python
tmux
weechat

Thusfar without any issues.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have been searching and seem to be coming up to a dead end here.

I have the Costco version of the R6700 Nighthawk, and I am confused as to whether the Kong R7000 version of his SW will work, or is there another version for this router. ?? If someone could point me in the proper direction, I would be truly great-full.

Hi all,

I haven't updated for quite a while and am currently on
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/15/14) kongac - build 24865M

Can I just update by using http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/dd-wrt.v24-K3_AC_ARM_STD.bin or are there any in-between steps I should take?

Greetings,
Evert

I think you need to use the one for R6700, I'm sure others will chime in

Been a while since I have played around w/ DD-WRT (just loaded it to my R7000) but if I remember right... you only need the CHK to install DD-WRT on your router if you're running anything other than DD-WRT.

The CHK file contains what's necessary to load DD-WRT to your specific router version and such.

Once you have DD-WRT installed all future updates you can do via the .BIN file going forward as you already have DD-WRT installed.

I am tempted to reinstall on my R7000 to see if drivers 18.21 from Intel solved the disconenction issue with AC7260.

Anyway, why is BS version 27MB and Kong's only 20MB? Thanks in advance.

I am noticing an issue where I lose internet connectivity but my devices stay connected to the wireless. I am using the stock firmware (I had another R7000 with DDWRT but it fried during a lightning storm).

Is the internet disco a known R7000 issue?

Running this build and so far so good. Very fast page loads compared to the new Stock Netgear firmware. Want to see how this works out for a few full days of uptime. So far I am very impressed!

Hello

I have been using Kong 26500M for several months and I am very happy with it. Today I noticed I cannot make port forwarding work for NTP / ESXI. I have searched and found many issues but nothing specifically for my build. Are there known issue with port forwarding and 26500M? Fixes? What newer build would be better?

I'm running 26790M on my R7000 (from May this year) and Port forwarding hasn't been an issue... Mind you, never had to forward ports for NTP before.

You going to go straight to new version with normal dirty flash? It'd take me at least an hour to reprogram my baby if I had to do it all manually, lol
