why are people still using kong builds when the bs builds are the same?
If you wouldn't be so freaking lazy to read, you would have found your answer on this thread.
nevermind i just wanted to know how much of a difference it makes to choose kongs instead, do you prefer kongs on the r7000? or have you had issues with bs builds of r7000?
Hi, I bought the R7800 as a primary/WAN router, so now I'm using the R7000 as an access point/switcher and I would like to set the cpu clock again as stock (now is 1200mhz) but in recent Kong's builds the option is not available from the UI, using the terminal (nvram set clkfreq=1000,800) works but every reboot it has again the clock at 1200mhz
There's a way to set the default clock without erase nvram? Thanks!
After setting the clock freq to 1000,800 did you then save the nvram?
You did not mention writing the setting to memory.
These are the recommended commands I have in the FAQ sticky.
Over Clock router cpu (thanks to Magnetron1.1)
nvram get clkfreq (get current clock rate)
nvram set clkfreq=1200,800 (OC cpu/ram stock)
nvram commit && reboot (write change & reboot)
