I know that there are a lot of builds for this device but the main feature that I use, Repeater Bridge hasn't been working in the past couple of releases.
What is a "stable build" for the R7000 that actually has the Repeater Bridge functioning correctly ?
You must live with your parents don't you? Its OK, so do I!
Anyway I no longer use repeater bridge but instead I use WDS. I have tomato on the main ap and dd-wrt 25090 on my r6250 and just recently r7000. 5ghs is not super perfect (maybe it's just me) but 2.4ghz works great. I use this router mainly for its has capabilities.
The r7000 was supposed to be a replacement but since i got the r6250, working now, it will be either a replacement or test unit depending on what response I get from Kong.
Wds works a lot better than repeater bridge. Just don't use it on 26635 or your router may crash and brick resulting in a need for serial recovery.
I will do some testing with the r7000 on repeater bridge when I get home tomorrow. Are there any specific features you want me to test? _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm

Hello Gameman, thank you for your pleasant reply !
I actually have my own place, but I did few favors for my neighbor and he lets me use his WiFi, he lives next door to me and he has a Comcast 50 Mbit line.
WDS won't work because I am repeating from an Official Comcast router, am I right ?
I'm pretty sure I cannot, but are you saying that build 25090 is a stable build where Repeater Bridge works?
Is 26635 better ?
All I use is the repeater bridge feature, that's all I would need tested.
do not use 26635. i, personally, would avoid it as it may spontaneously brick your router. it happened to me on my r7000 so i would not risk it again until i get more materials for serial purposes. would like to mention that i was able to get my r7000 back up without a problem.
you still did not answer how repeater bridge is not working correctly for you. could you be specific? i could test a few builds to see which of them may work. if you want, you could try 24800. _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm

Do you have the serial recovery process for R7000?
What cable do I need and how to perform the recovery please?

Many thanks friend! Yes one question - can I flash dd-wrt bin via tftp recovery or does it have to be stock netgear fw?
i would recommend you use netgear stock firmware for flash recovery and then flash again to dd-wrt. but if you are going to flash straight to dd-wrt, then use the initial flash chk file. _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm
