Tried searching, couldn't come up with an answer...

Upgraded from a v24 sp2 (24000s) build to 27600 a few days ago. No reset or hard reset upon upgrading through web interface. After upgrading, the 5ghz radio would disappear to all devices once per day, requiring a reboot of the router to bring it back. All channels set to auto. Have reverted back to build 24461 in the meantime.

Any insight on why the 27600 build would cause the 5ghz radio to disappear? (Mistakes on my part not setting channels or doing hard reset?)

Thank you!

Same thing is happening to me. I've tried 27700 & 27745 (I have v1 with blue LEDs). Everything else is working great. I have a repeater connected and 2 NAS drives. Works much better than stock (except that 5 GHz randomly stops broadcasting). A reboot fixes it for a while.

Me too with a TP TL-WDR3500

Upgraded to 27506 a couple of weeks ago. Prior build was 26339.

I've noticed that the 5G wifi ap just vanishes after some time (couple days?). Have to restart the router to get it back. Never had this problem with the prior fw.

Any logs/trace I can gather to help root cause?

Anyone know if the new version 9-28-2015 fixes the 5Ghz vanishing on the WDR3500 & WDR3600?

So let me understand. Build 27858 - "no vanish yet". But ALL of the beta builds that you've tried have "vanishing" 5GHz. I see some problem with the logic there...

I don't see a problem with the logic. Every build I have tried (tried all since 27506-27805 and maybe a few versions before) all had the vanishing 5 Ghz issue on my WDR3600. I since moved to Gargoyle (but I prefer DD-WRT) until a confirmed version of DD-WRT is working on the WDR300 that doesn't have the vanishing 5 GHz issue. I believe nostraz is saying that he has had the same issues trying many beta versions of dd-wrt, also. It is not quite clear, but I believe he has installed 9-28 27858 and in the short time he has had it installed, the 5 Ghz has not vanished (if it lasts longer, than this is encouraging). Hopefully, nostraz will update us in a few days.

It's the same on 27858 unfortunately. Really annoying.

That's too bad. Anyone know if there is a ticket on this?

So I understand you are on the 6/27 build, but what I don't understand are you still losing 5ghz or not since you state "would keep 5ghz or it gone until reboot buy yea".

Maybe you can clear that for me since I have the same problem of 5ghz disappearing all of a sudden until reboot.

Same here, beta 27944 on WDR3500. 5GHz drops off after a day or so, reset will bring it back.

flashed the latest beta 28054 and still the same - 5ghz drops after a while. To get it back I have to reboot the WDR3600. That is a pain. Does anyone have a clue?
