Hi all, I am new here!
So, I have a Netgear router WNDR4500
Chip: Broadcom BCM5300 chip rev 1
using the following firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r29396 giga (04/04/16)
Kernel: Linux DD-WRT 3.10.101 #12111 Mon Apr 4 08:54:24 CEST 2016 mips DD-WRT
Nowadays everything are running very well on the following scenário:
LAN ports (ISP modem): 192.168.1.14/28
WAN port (Netgear WNDR4500): DHCP mode
LAN ports (Netgear WNDR4500): 192.168.1.1/24
I intend to change to (As drawing attached):
LAN ports (ISP modem): 10.0.0.2/30
WAN port (Netgear WNDR4500): DHCP mode
LAN ports (Netgear WNDR4500): 192.168.1.30/27
The issue is:
First one: I have modem from my ISP which when I set the LAN address from this router (e.g: 10.0.0.2/30 aiming to reduce the broadcast colisions) to plug on WAN port of my netgear router, the WAN port on my netgear router which are working on DHCP mode does not get any kind of IP address (which is quite strange, because the pc can get the ip address when I plug directly on it).
Second One: When I set the LAN of my netgear router 192.168.1.1/24 (default) to 192.168.1.30/27 the PC does not get any Ip address. (note.: everything are running on DHCP mode, NIC interface of PC)
Is this also quite strange to because when I go back the setup of local network of Netgear router to 192.168.1.1/24, the PC can get a valid IP.
Someone could you please help me with this?
Regards,
Starley
