What is there to support? It's designed as a range extender used in conjunction with a wifi router.

if you do a search you'd understand that there are other range extenders listed and supported. example the EX6200 from netgear. essentially routers with stripped down firmware from the factory. As well this is a site for custom firmwares for wireless internet devices! your statement is pointless...

Need support for Netgear ex7000
as far as I can tell it's all the exact same hardware as the EX6200. just with support for AC1900 speeds

Donate a router for the devs if you want it supported.
You have apparently no idea of what "exact same hardware" means.

great way to keep customers coming back dude! just saying...
I'm sure brain slayer appreciates how you drum up business for him. And I will rephrase my self, almost the same! feel better? I understand flaming from other users, but from the guru's!?! you need to chill with the attitude. and I added the post so others can post in the thread to show if support for the devices is warranted. customers are what keep the site going. Not attitude...

The only similarity between EX6200 and EX7000 is the cpu used, everything else differs so that is in no way "exact same hardware", not even "almost same".

It should rather be compared to the R7000, but have a small 16M flash chip verses 128M.

The R7000 Firmware will not fit. It will be better to buy a R7000, than replacing the flash on this one.

What new features do you want compared to stock on an extender?

Yes maybe is better R7000 instead of ex7000.
I have ex7000 and i must reboot it every 2-3 hours because speed decrease from 50Mb (is connected to ZTE XPON with Network cable) to 8Mb. When rebooted come back instantly to 50Mb.

I have a bunch of EX6200 running. I needed some very small powerful routers for a special application and all other arm models are too big and don't have the perfect layout when it comes to mounting and connecting in special places.

The EX6200 is doing very well absolutely stable and 100% reliable.

The only thing that could be improved is the flash size and the heatsink.

The EX7000 might come in handy therefore.

I have asked netgear a while ago if they can send me a sample, also asked for a few other models, but netgear is very quiet lately.

It's been 3 months.....has anything moved forward with the EX7000? I just picked one up, and am less that pleased with the stock firmware.
