TrendNet TEW-811DRU AC1200

Ok starting new build r29048, ATF and Implicit/Explicit Beamforming are disabled by default.
My experience so far:
-I use AC/N-Mixed for my 5G, so having Explicit Beamforming enabled is actually a good thing.
-Though I do have Implicit Beamforming disabled because it's more for older tech routers and not many support it anyway.
Any thoughts?
p.s: Disabling ATF also very much improve speed and stability.

Implicit beamforming isn't more for older tech routers; it is used on newer routers than also support explicit beamforming. Implicit beamforming improves the signal for devices connecting to router that don't support beamforming. Explicit beamforming needs hardware at both ends of connection to support it - so a beamforming router and a wireless device that supports beamforming.

Myself I enabled only Implicit beamforming on both bands since all WiFi devices can benefit. I ran into weak signals at one end of the house with my smartphone SNR was only 1 or 2 on the R7000 readings. I repositioned the antennas to get the best signal and SNR jumped to around 7. Enabling Implicit beamforming the SNR increased to 10 after a couple of seconds. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

Sitting 30 feet from my router. Enabling Explicit jumped download speed from 70 MBps to 105 MBps.
Also, enabling Implicit did not seem to affect it. This is on an older laptop, but it's still N. _________________ [MAIN GATEWAY] Netgear R7000 – DD-WRT v3.0-r43324 std (06/02/20)
