The only stable connection is the WL1 which for me is usless. I need full speed of my internet. 150mpbs I can't do nothing with that sadly.
Also when I setup on wl0 and wl2 an AES encryption it all goes haywire. If I setup wl2 as in the tutorial is halfing my speed from my laptop to 250mpbs .
If I chose different SSID name. Well again the same issue. And the AC only have a very bad signal. It is so confusing.
I don't encounter instability when I was on 28598 for my 890L. You can try that one or Kong's R8000 build 29230M, which supports 890L now and is based on kernel 3.10.x. _________________

Do you get 500mb through an ethernet port on the 890? _________________ Segment 1 XR700 10Gb LAN, 1Gb WAN ISP BS

I've got no issues with high speeds on my DIR-890L.
I see that you're running 40MHz on the 5GHz, thats gunna halve your speeds.
heres screenshots of my settings:
5GHz N/AC. 280-300Mb on N. 867Mb sync + 29MB/s file transfer within 5M of router. (my NAS is not fast, could be NAS limiting the speeds)
my AC only channel. 780Mb same distance as the other 5Ghz.
my 2.4Ghz is dropped to 20Mhz as the long range 'stable' network, if you need higher speeds turn that up to 40Mhz.
I have a few questions. I just installed the latest beta as I am trying to see the difference in DD-WRT over stock firmware.
First, I notice that you and the OP show your settings for WL0 and WL2. Is WL1 the same as one of those, or disabled for your case?
Second, do you have older devices connecting to your 890L? I have a couple tablets that see the router, with DD-WRT firmware and similar settings, but they won't connect. What would be a configuration that accommodates older devices connecting via wifi?
Finally, what's the benefit of a single SSID? Would it be best to use separate SSIDs, or use the same for each radio?

WL1 is 2.4GHz, which i mentioned i had dropped to slower speed settings to be compatible with older devices, my settings there would not help with speed, so they were irrelevant to the OP's problem.
I have 20Mhz 2.4GHz (slower speeds, reliable, used for low bandwidth devices like my wireless printer, and guest devices)
Wlan 0 is N/AC 5GHz (not all my AC devices can see the higher channel of Wlan2)
Wlan 2 is AC only, and where i stick my high performance devices (my phone, for file transfers to/from my NAS, and my gaming PC)
I use seperate SSID's as i want control over what devices are connected which lets me guarantee the speeds they'll get.

Yeah seems I have to go back to stock. Since low support on DD-WRT for 890L . I swear to god that it's pissing me off big time.
Constant disconnects & firmware crashes , low speeds , very unstable. Maybe I did some bad setups but I followed first the 890L Guide posted here and no change. Same instability. I refuse to keep my high bandwith capped because of bad software. Yeah stock firmware sucks , no options just plug & play. But at least it harness the true power of this router that is highly needed.
Thanks for those who tried to help me. I am not ungratefully just very frustrated. I can give you my skype if anyone want to help me out with this. But in few hours I'll start to rollback to stock.
Maybe i'll get back when I see more support for 890L. I hope it will be made on openwrt since I saw a lot of movement there and never disapointed me regarding it's stability. This was my first try on DD-WRT and ...it was a complete failure.
P.S: The only thing stable is "N". Whenever I get on AC/N or AC simple once I try to download something and hits 5-10Mbs second it kills the router instant and resets the AC's Wifi . Simple as that.
