I don't experience any boot-loop. I have The original CFE 1.0.1.4

I don't know if reset works on newer builds. It was an issue after 26138.

1) Flash 26138
2) Reset nvram
3) Flash latest(I am on 29621) without a reset.

I have successfully downgrade CFE 1.0.2.0 (EU) to 1.0.1.6 (EU) and now i can install any DD-WRT firmware.

I have downgraded on 3 devices RT-AC66U:
ASUS RT-AC66U:
H/W Version: B0 hw_version=1.5
CFE: 1.0.2.0 bl_version=1.0.2.0
EU version

Dont forget, make a original CFE backup!!!

Check H/W version (1.50) and flash vendor, i've tested only ZENTEL. Replace mac adresses.

Command to check flash vendor:
Code:
dmesg | grep -e "flash" -e "nand" -e "amd" /tmp/syslog.log

Hi
I cant upload the DD-WRT firmware on my router so these are my questions...

Executing the "
Quote:
dmesg | grep...
" command I can see the "
Quote:

" you refer to - does that mean I have the later CFE or ...?

1. How do I do a CFE backup?
2. Should I apply both files you provided or is the just the old and new CFE's? How do I apply this ? Via the web interface or from a command line option?

I already tried with some 25xxx release, nothing changed.

First flash DD WRT from router database:
v24 PreSP2 [Beta] Build: 21061
http://www.dd-wrt.com/routerdb/de/download/Asus/RT-AC66U/-/dd-wrt-Asus_RT-AC66U.trx/3899

Then reset to factory via web panel and upgrade via web panel to any version.

There is a tutorial how to backup CFE:
