Hey guys!
I needed a second router so I digged into my boxes with old stuff and found Asus RT-N16 :)
First thing - checked DD-WRT version available for this device and realized that latest version was uploaded back in 2010
So I asked myself a question (and now asking you :) is it safe to use 6 year old firmware? I am worry about potential security issues that could be found over those years.

Where did you check that? I hope not the Router Database (which does -not- show recommended builds). But yes the 14929 from 2010 is still a recommended build, as noted in the Peacock announcement; have you read that yet?
Of course you should look at the Changelog and 'new build' threads before considering any build. You can also peruse the router-specific thread(s) for a given device. _________________ #NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD#Repeater issues#DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo#
