My R8000 with DD-WRT v3.0-r29875M kongac (06/11/16) only shows 64kb of NVRAM

Working perfectly over the last two builds (full reset and manual reconfiguration 1 build ago).

The R7000 has 128MB of flash storage, not 128kb. The NVRAM is something like the BIOS where the (startup) hardware settings are stored. I think the size can change due to the firmware because usually the NVRAM is inside the flash storage but is a different thing. Like a partition.

Hope is correct, waiting for the experts Smile

This may be a local issue with my ISP, but I've seen a slight but noticeable drop in download speeds (roughly 15% to 20%) since installing 29875 two days ago. I'll keep an eye on this for a few more days and see if anything changes.

I too am noticing about that amount of download drop from my r7000 as well. Gonna roll back a few builds...

Available 256Kb RAM looks fine. Specs say 128Kb flash memory, which by definition reads closely enough to NVRAM to be synonymous.... Are they?

MNVRAM = 64Kb, so I'm just wondering if it's correct and what determines the setting.

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

The R7000 has:

256MB RAM, 128MB Flash, 64K NVRAM

Using the 128K build can be dangerous. While I have flashed it to the R7000 before, when I added 128K support to the build, I have not verified what happens if you utilize more then 64K nvram. It all comes down to the cfe, if the cfe has trouble getting certain vars it will not boot and you will see no output on serial console and you won't be able to recover it anymore, unless you have a professional jtag debugger along with the appropriate scripts.

I don't think a lot of people need more than 64K, those that need it can now buy a R8500/R6400 which comes with 128K by default.

The wife mentioned the same thing to me last night, R7000 through the wifi connection.

My first message to tell you that I did the update to the latest version available but that the GUI is not accessible.
I can't connect to the web interface, even after reboot or restarting httpd.
I can acess through SSH, and httpd -p 80 returns errors (I will copy that later tonight)

By the way, the ddup method never worked, seems like the validation process is the culprit as it ends with invalid firmware, even If I try a local update through ssh. Also, it erases the firmware file...

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Code:
root@DDWRT:~# stopservice httpd
root@DDWRT:~# ps |grep httpd
12690 root      1148 S    grep httpd
root@DDWRT:~# startservice httpd

root@DDWRT:~# ps |grep httpd
12660 root      3284 S    httpd -p 80
12662 root      1148 S    grep httpd

When is the last time you reset your router settings and reconfigured from defaults?

Can you please post the output of these commands?
Code:
env
ls /opt/sbin
ls /opt/bin
ls /opt/usr/sbin
ls /opt/usr/bin
ls /opt/lib
ls /opt/usr/lib

Just ran a speedtest on my AC68U, which I believe is similar to the r7000, did not notice any degradation in WAN-speed. My current uptime is approx 2 days
