This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29837_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless.
If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Shorted pins to get to Trendnet emergency miniweb server at 192.168.10.1 and then uploaded DD-WRT v3.0-r29739 mini(05/19/16). Able to access TEW-811DRU from original IP before update.

Router Model: Buffalo WLI-H4-D1300
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r29968 giga (06/17/16)
Kernel Version: Linux 3.10.102 #12958 Fri Jun 17 12:56:59 CEST 2016 mips
Flash: Web flash from r29739
Reset: No
Errors: In CB-mode, setting wl0 from 'AC only' to 'disabled' (while wl1 is also disabled) will half-brick the router: no ping response via wl nor eth, and no ssh.

If host (laptop) is set to automatic IP (Win7), then arp -a on eth shows the right IP and connected device and the AP (connected via wl!).

Only reset via button helps.

@BrainSlayer --- Thanks for the new R7800 firmware.

Unfortunately, upgrading from Netgear factory firmware V1.0.1.30 via the webgui will fail because build 29968 is too large.

Here's output from the serial interface:

amule daemon is stoping...
Saving Data...
Done!

incorrect language table file, cannot find the region name.

Too big length 26394866, are you killing me ?_?

So far there are 2 ways to install this firmware:

Method 1: Requires a USB/Serial cable connection to the router's serial port and a terminal program such as putty on the PC to control the router. A TFTP client on a PC is used to upload the firmware via ethernet to the router while it's running the U-Boot Bootloader which can be accomplished by pressing Ctrl-c within a few seconds after powering up the router and entering either bootm or fw_recovery at the U-Boot prompt which will startup a TFTP server. The server will patiently wait for a file transfer and once received it has no problem writing it to flash memory.

Method 2: Select one of Kong's factory-to-ddwrt firmwares on the Netgear's Firmware Update webpage and click on Upload. Once loaded, use Kong's f/w to flash BrainSlayer's build. Kong's builds are small enough to not bump up against Netgear's firmware size limitation.

weird - I am running Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r29837 mini (06/06/16) on EX6200 that has the same size as the latest build r29968.
everything works fine except that my EX6200 is misidentified as Netgear R6250.
i`ll post results in case i`ll decide to give it a go ... ur warning kinda makes me have second thoughts.

Router: Buffalo wzr-600dhp2
Firmware: r29968
Previous: r29739
Kernel: Linux dd-wrt 4.4.10 #814 Thu May 19 05:32:22 CEST 2016 armv7l DD-WRT
Status: Ok, but with note below
Reset: No and Yes - Tried both to fix note below
Errors: None, except for note below

Note: Everything seems to work fine except when I reboot the router it
defaults back to previous 29739. No idea how long this could have been
going on as I really never had to reboot my router. This could actually
be a r29739 issue instead of a r29968 issue. Tried flashing multiple
times trying different things with the same results.
