Hello, someone posted on my last post this
""

reset router to defaults
Need to set static IP on your computer to 192.168.1.5
have nothing but router connected to computer (turn off computer wireless if you have it)
telnet into 192.168.1.1
type
Code:
erase linux

make sure it has finished erasing and returned prompt.
unplug power -- leave off for 'bout 30 sec
plug back in ... use browser go to 192.168.1.1 should give you firmware management page
install correct linksys firmware -- give it plenty of time to install
reset router
should now be able to access linksys page --
set computer back to DHCP

""

And i'm pretty sure this would work but i don't know how to do this. Is they a step by step guide which is available? The question i was aksing is how to revert to oem software when i could not do it through gui or tftp. Thank You! Any responses are appriciated!

got this sorted yet ???
guess there is first for everyone Wink -- however google helps with these things.
since I'm just goofin right now I'll lend a hand

some info here 'bout such
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Telnet/SSH_and_the_Command_Line#Using_Telnet

If you are on a mac just use terminal.app -- much better anyways.
If you are on a winders computer prolly better off get putty.exe
download here >>> http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html
just get the (the SSH and Telnet client itself)

open putty.exe click on the lil' telnet circle then put in 192.168.1.1 just like this --

now click the open button and type in UID for login which is root hit enter key
if router has been reset (it should be) password is admin hit enter key
password will not show any characters while typing it in putty
when you get prompt root@DD-WRT:~# type erase linux hit enter
wait till complete and prompt returns then type exit
'putty log of what you should see'

now do what I mentioned and unplug router for 20-30 sec
plug in power and use browser go to 192.168.1.1 you should see -

choose correct linksys firmware.bin for your router and 'Apply' -- prolly see -

give it about 3 minutes and have only 192.168.1.1 in address bar and go to -

EDIT: Very likely you will NOT BE ABLE to login to Linksys pages
until you use the reset button to reset --- good luck
