The DD-Wrt Router database only lists one version for my WNDR3700 V2 router, "V24 PreSP2 [beta] Build: 21061". Are there other versions available somewhere?
My problem is that WinSCP doesn't seem to work with build 21061 as suggested by other forum postings about a different router. I get "server unexpectedly closed network connection" and these forum postings suggested that is a bug in build 21061. Their fix was to fall back to a prior build. Unfortunately I don't know where to find any other builds for my router.
If there is no other build, is there a way to transfer files to my routers /tmp folder without using WinSCP? Perhaps by using tftp?
Seems like when it rains it pours..looks like lot's of choices...anybody know if there is any conventional wisdom on how to make a choice? IOW, should I choose the latest version, or hang back a year, or ???

I almost always use the latest build. The only time I don't is when the build thread (on here), and there are a lot of reports of people having problems. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

I am trying to find the "build thread" that you mentioned. I see lots of good related information, but I'm not sure I found the thread that you mentioned.
However, no doubt my "what build to use" question has been asked many times before and it must be frustrating for the experts here to keep seeing them.
I am guilty of not reading a lot of the rules, guidelines, and announcements. So I have decided to read them before I ask to many more questions.
BTW, thanks to the help from all the folks here I was able to load another build where WinSCP worked properly and I was able to restore a partition that was screwed up and stopping my wireless from working.
