Is there firmware DD-WRT for WR940N v5?

The FCC IS TE7WR940NV4.

I don't think there is a version 5 if the FCC still ends in a V4.

I have the same router in the US and have been unable to get it to flash anything other than factory firmware.

Actually there really is a v5 of this model.

The stick below it clearly says "v5", but the FCC id ends with "v4".

The box says it has 32 MB flash and 256 MB RAM.

Also, it can create guest networks, unlike earlier versions.
If you look into TP-Link brazilian website of this model (http://www.tp-link.com.br/products/details/cat-9_TL-WR940N.html#specifications), it says the 2,4 GHz guest network is only available in V5 and newer models

I suspect it's only sold in Brazil.

If you want even a remote chance of getting it supported. Open up the case, take high quality photos of the board. Open a ticket on the SVN timeline and add all the info you can find to it.

Hope for the best.

You will need a USB-TTL 3.3V adapter such as one of these: https://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_itemId=null&_nkw=FT232RL+3+3V+5+5V+FTDI+USB+to+TTL+Serial+Adapter+Module+for+Arduino+Mini+Port&_trksid=p2047675.m4100.l9146

Then copy and paste the entire boot process from a putty terminal.
I have attached the 940N v5 stock firmware.

Hey! A guy at LEDE Forums just posted all the info for this unit. V5 is IDENTICAL to V4, and there is LEDE support for v4. How hard could it be to port it for v5?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Serial Log Below complete with procinfo mtd etc.

Have this one for a couple of days, the repeater function is very strong, but as always stock firmware is limited. Hope will compile a wr940n v5 of dd-wrt soon.

Best regards.
