Is the 05-02-2017-r31924 build referenced/linked in this thread compatible with WRT1900ACS_v1 hardware or only WRT1900AC_v1?
Sorry, just the WRT1900AC v1. I think others have posted their versions as well in other topics.
Try searching the Forum for your router's version of 31924. If it's not here - I'm sure someone has it and can upload it for you. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

I am not sure if this possible, but would welcome any supports or advice (note I am a code writer, but I do follow instructions carefully to implement them)
basically what I am try to achieve is to separate my Local Net work into separate segments.
My server which host my media, CCTV and PBX astrisk phone is on one computer IP 192.168.1.104
Media Server IP 192.168.1.104
Media clients IP 192.168.1.105-114
Telephone-Server.IP 192.168. 1.115
Telephone Client IP 192.168.1.116-122
CCTV Server IP 192.168.1.104
CCTV Clients IP 192.168.1.123-129
Is it possible to separate these set of 3 client using VLAN or Bridge for security what I am maily concern with is someone getting to my CCTV and Media server 192.168.1.104 through the Telephone Port on the network.
Better still still separate the Phone system completely from both Media and CCTV since telephone sever has diff server IP form media& CCTV.
I hope this make sense, appreciate any suggestions.
This 05-02-2017-r31924 firmware should be mounted on a brass plaque for posterity, entitled:
The last ever stable version of DD-WRT for the Linksys WRT1900AC v1 router
I suspect that this may well be the case, given what has materialised since!
Amen, I just want to know one thing, if I go back to this feb 2017 version of dd-wrt on the linksys WRT-1900AC (v1), will this protect me against WPA2 KRACK ATTACK - if I have already upgraded my linux (Ubuntu) and Macbook PRO ?
Thanks.
PS:
The current ver DD-WRTv3.0-r33607 std(10/25/17),sucks so bad.
-It crashes quite a bit.
-It cannot handle NAS/USB storage (neither via FTP or SMB).
-It cannot handle 80 MHz. VHT on any 5HGZ 802.11AC channel.
-It cannot give 80MHZ 5GHz to an intel 7265 or 8265 wifi card.

The KRACK vulnerability affects everything that has WPA2. However, it's much more important that your portable devices are upgraded.
While your router may still be vulnerable for the time being - somone would have to initiate an attack from within range if your router's wireless signal.
Basically they would have to be outside your house. If you live in an apartment building, it's a bit more at risk.
The next build will hopefully have a fix for the WRT1900AC v1, but only time and testing will tell for sure. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

What do you mean "While your router may still be vulnerable for the time being"... The only reason I am dealing with this shitty veriosn of DD-WRT on my wrt1900AC is only because I wanted to be resistant to WPA2 KRACK ATTACK. Its the only reason I am staying with it, ir else seeing as Android MacBooks and Ubuntu has issued a patch I would have gone back to the stable build. Its only the fear that I need the router to be updated to be safe too.... thats keeping me with this beta version.

As a WRT1900AC v1 owner you have two choices: Security or Stability. Unfortunately, we can't have both.
While the latest builds have the WPA2 security patch - they are instable on the WRT1900AC v1.
5/2/2017 - 31924 is currently the most stable build, but no WPA2 security patch.
The next upcoming build has an attempted fix to the stability issue as well as the security updates.
It will be up to us to test that build. If it doesn't work and the reboots are still happening, then at least we'll have more information for Brainslayer.
Personally I choose Stability over the extremely remote possibility that someone with the knowledge to implement the KRACK attack would be within range without my noticing.
In my neighborhood if you're sitting in an unfamiliar vehicle in front of someone's house - you might as well paint a target on yourself. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

I downlaod the nov 8? 2017 build for WRT1900AC v1 it is mostly fine, its just that when I format a HDD or USB key to use as a USB based NAS, I notice that is uploads up to 240 MB, then disrupts the connection irregardless whether I use FTP or SMB .
I tried logging into the bug tacker and reporting but it would not accept my user name and password.
Would a WRT1900AC V2 (supposedly ACS) be much more stable with any of the BS builds? I've seen a refurbished one for $80 and if it makes a big difference, I will get that and use my V1 as another hotspot.
However, before I spend $80 on another WRT1900AC, has anyone tried DD-WRT (or even stock) on other AC WIFI routers (Asus, etc.) and found they were MUCH better than the WRT1900AC V1? I'd rather just have a stable router - the stock firmware was terrible.
