I have a DIR-868L HW:B1 OEM FW:2.03 and I will like to try this firmware. Any idea if it will work on this hardware? I did never see this version posted before so I am worried since its my main and only router. Thanks

Yes it does, I have just done this with my B1 version. I used the latest build (r34080a ) from quarksg, available at

Remember to do a factory to ddwrt firmware upgrade first and then load the web flash firmware

Hello guys/gals ... i am sort of a noob at this. I have a DIR-880L already flashed and currently up and working with Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30432 std (08/16/16). I am intrigued to update my f/w to this latest patched build. I am bit out of the loop and forgot how to do this. Would someone be kind enough to tell me how to upgrade from my current build to this patched version, please ? The one thing i do remember is that i cannot upgrade over Wi-Fi Smile

i slightly remember that 2 files had to be flashed when i had upgraded previously.

Thanks in advance. Smile

Just log into the UI and go into Administrator and Firmware Upgrade and send the upgrade file there. You can set Factory reset as well there during the update or keep current settings.

You can get latest version from Quarkysg here:

Thanks much for your reply ... I have a a question though ... i have downloaded the file(s) and see the following files:

1. ddwrt-webflash-rt-ac68u-r34080b-patched
2. ddwrt-webflash-dir868-880-r34080b-patched

which of the 2 should i use?

The one for the DIR 868/880L routers.

The RT file is for an ASUS router that quarkysg built for one specific user.

The Factory2WRT is only for migrating from D-Link OEM FW to DDWRT. Do not use this file to upgrade if you already have WRT loaded on the router. Wink

thanks for your help ... I did end up using the file for factory settings (downloaded from dd-wrt wiki) and then the patched file that was provided here. I had to reconfigure settings for my vpn but all is up and running.

Actually I built it for my RT-AC68U and RT-AC68W 😬 Just thot that I’ll just share it with anyone ‘brave’ enough to try.

I have 4 sites I’m managing, all connected via OpenVPN.

DIR-880L (50M/20M)
RT-AC68U (1G/1G)
RT-AC68W (1G/1G)
E4200 (10M/5M)

Roger that. You might set up a separate Router Mfr Model Folder as to not confuse some new users to your directory. I was asked about it. I referred them to the correct DIR file though.

Great!.

But i have some question... how i can install mc (Midnight commander) into router?
And, also, can you install it into next build...

Add-ons are usually saved for external use since not everyone may be using MC. Also makes the FW packages larger in size. Devs try to keep the size down to whats necessary.

How is this being installed on a router?

Good afternoon.

Do you have backport for 868L (build 33772)?
I can't setup the IPTV through the igmprt.
I think, IGMP packages not forwarding thru br0.

UDPXY working perfectly, but only with a low load on WAN
(up to 35Mbit/s)
