|
Hi all,
I have a TL-WR841Nv9. It works admirably as a typical gateway router with DD-WRT.
I tried to set it up as a wireless-to-wired bridge, and also function as a repeater, because my family member's room gets realy bad reception.
The TL-WR841N works fine in "client" mode, performance is great, but then the whole room is its own subnet, and connecting to our network printer and other devices becomes unneccessarily hard.
Whenever I switch to Client (Bridged) mode, the setup "works"... I can visit example.com no problem, but any more demanding traffic fails to go through at an acceptable rate. If I recall correctly, throughput was well below ten mbit/s.
Basically, the client bridged mode is technically usable, but performance is unusable.
If there's anything I can do to get past this, help test a fix, etc, I should be able to dedicate some time to that. I'd like to even fix this for everyone else, not just myself, but I'll see what progress gets made before getting overly ambitious here.
I appreciate any input and suggestions. Thank you for reading.
