Changelogs:
SVN Changelog: for 33986 (last build was 33772)
Summary: (deprecated after 29739)
Note: SFE accelerated NAT is in 33006+ builds but only in kernel 3.10 and newer
krack fixes for Broadcom were completed in 33678 , including k26 (33655) & k24 (33656).

Tickets (Broadcom-related and general) closed as 'fixed':

Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
Note: BS has since reverted (in 33989) the xl2tpd update made in 33556, so those of you having issues post-33555, this might be why
1. If time is not available, leave the NTP server field blank.
If that doesn't help, add a startup command of `ntpclient {NTP server}` e.g. us.pool.ntp.org
2. (quarkysg) Do not use on DIR-868L & DIR-880L (last good build is 30432)
quarkysg has a custom build for those routers, with several improvements like PBR+SFE
3. (egc) Policy-Based Routing doesn't work with SFE enabled.
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5900
quarkysg's fix: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5986
4. (egc) "OpenVPN 2.4 is stable but you have to tweak your configuration files notably:"
mtu-disc yes
proto udp4

Try using the D-Link CFE emergency rescue page to upload my build for DIR-868L and DIR-880L. Refer to link below:

https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=312356

BS and Kong's build will send your router into a boot loop. My build reverted the changes the caused this, but otherwise are nearly identical to the official builds released by the DD-WRT developers.

The last known working build for the 868 and 880 is r30432.

HTH.

Router/Version: Asus RT-AC66U ( Broadcom BCM5300 chip rev1 1Core@600MHz)

Previous: 33772
Mode/Status: AP/Gateway ( back-2-back with a CB) WAN disabled
Reset: No
Issues/Errors: None - 33772 had trouble connecting to legacy wifi devices, since updating to 33986 this seems to be resolved. UPDATED: see below

UPDATE I've had to rollback to 33492. Since moving to 33772 and 33986 the 66u wifi (wl0 and wl1) connection has been unable to sustain a stable connection with a single client. I connect a wired client and it operates as expected. I've tested with iphone 7, belkin wemo switches and netatmo, wifi fan, windows 10 laptop. All show disconnecting/reconnecting/no internet type errors continually , with both the last builds. As soon as I roll back to 33492, they all work very stable once again.

The 87u (client bridge) and wrt1900ac (AP) I have on this 33986 build both seem to operate correctly. So not sure why but the issue seems to be limited to the 66u.

Agreed on speed drop. Using safari on iPhone 8 wireless speed check on r8500 has gone from 350+ mbps to barely 100mbps.
