A question: what kernel is this release based on?
I have a WRT1900AC v1 and am currently trialing r35244 after having used r31924 for a few months. _________________ ------------------------------------

Installed r35452-2018.03.20 on my WRT1900ACS_v1 as a flash upgrade, keeping existing config. No issues for my config noticed, will report if find anything big.
Kernel Info: Linux 4.9.88 #118 SMP PREEMPT Sun Mar 18 21:00:49 CET 2018 armv7l
DD-WRT config reference for my WRT1900ACS_v1 (not vanilla, not overly complex): mostly wired devices ~75, mixed wireless mode + fixed channels using 5GHz & 2.4GHz @ 20MHz width ~20 clients, IPv6 on, OpenVPN server + segmented network, DHCP reservations for all known devices, access rules (internet block security cameras), port forwards, no QOS, firewall rules (OpenVPN & Guest), Guest 2.4GHz wifi segmented network
No QOS and still getting A+ on speed test.

I got to 6 days before a power outage -pretty good for a WRT1900AC v1
I might wait for you to report back on r35452 after a few days.

Ok, took a bravery tablet and updated.
Took 3-4 minutes to get current time - I have not added an NTP time server - somewhere in a post I recall mention that Brainslayer has hardcoded a default NTP server.

Speed ok? When I upgrade from the known safe version to anything newer, even if the reboots are fixed, my wifi connections and internet speed go way down.
ISP Speed: I pay for 250MB Down/10MB Up Comcast cable. I usually get better than that in tests.
QOS/buffer bloat/Speed Wired: I would get a 'B' grade for buffer bloat often in older builds unless I enabled QOS. But QOS _seemed_ to cause my Xboxs to not be able to use IPV6. Anyway lately I don't have QOS enabled but still get great speed and A for buffer bloat.
Wireless speed: I am not using to the max because I have the router plus two additional wired APs to give good house coverage. I set the width to 20MHz for 5ghz and 2.4ghz, as well as fixed non-overlapping channels. For 5ghz I do lock it to AC only, mixed on 2.4ghz. In that mode with 5ghz I get about 75Mbps which I'm fine with. I have most devices using 2.4ghz (cameras).
My only 'errors' in the log right now are warnings for probably a slight misconfiguration I have on my OpenVPN server. Everything works fine so I ignore them.
myersw: I guess the reason I moved from a relatively stable r31924 to the latest builds recently is to cover myself for any recent security fixes.
Speed is not a huge issue for me here - I am still on ADSL2+ and only get 14mbps.
In 18 months this area will be upgraded to 50mbps wireless but until then I need to make do with my WRT1900AC v1.
I don't stream video across the network to multiple locations - I usually attach a 2TB drive to my media players and watch video there.
We each have a different balance of speed to security.
For me the benefit of DD-WRT is extra features (I need to restrict one user's internet access to certain times during the day, and limit their bandwidth during those times) and security compared to stock firmware.
Over time the security benefit declines significantly if not updated.
There are constant reports of routers from major manufacturers being compromised and becoming botnets etc:

I can only assume that all these beta updates of DD-WRT also update all the various components that need to be maintained (no update logs to verify).
If my router reboots every few days and comes back up after 1-2 minutes, I can live with that as long as it maintains wireless performance for those few days.
And so far, at least with r35244, I got 6 days with no major issues - a local power outage caused the restart.
And r35452 despite also being kernel 4.9, seems ok so far.
PS: the 2.4GHz wifi signal on the latest builds is a significant 4-6dB stronger than r31924 with the same settings, not sure why but a bonus. _________________ ------------------------------------

Personal opinion, I would throw the wrt1900ac v1 in the closes trash can and get a reliable no reboots, no wireless drops router. Netgear and Asus both make much better routers.
I spent 3 years before I got wise, going through wrt1900ac v1, wrt1900acs v1 and wrt3200. Now have a Netgear r8000 running dd-wrt and also a r8000p. Last does not have dd-wrt support at this time. I will never purchase another Linksys product.

After using Kong's now abandoned builds, I've gone back to the Linksys stock firmware. I originally switched to DD WRT due to reboots using the Linksys builds, but the 7/25/2017 version is stable.
I'm not going to toss my WRT1900ACv1, but I will never buy another Linksys product again.

Recently things have gotten pretty good with my WRT3200ACM since there were some recent driver changes. It looks like LEDE/OpenWrt disabled CPU idle on the WRT1900ACv1 (https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/5faa9556b1c10a4b21208615bddb7480401fa213) and also disabled the internal RTC (https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/8605ac87f822254af258bf8f20d24cd4186ff84a). Some people have said it has helped (https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=374162#p374162).
I am not going to get into the LEDE/OpenWrt vs DD-WRT debate, but perhaps similar changes in DD-WRT would help WRT1900ACv1 users?
