Same goes for some tomato builds on some units, while they work with the basic conf, as soon as you turn on certain features they wipe parts of the flash where factory data sits.

I am also willing to contribute in getting Kong what he needs.( money , access to my unit, etc).
If I am right Kong lices in Germany? So maybe he is even real close to where I live .
So if neeeded let me kbow what I can do to get proper builds for the v2.

What Kong probably need is the serial output.
If you are brave enough you can see if it is possible to hook up a serial connection.
With any luck it is the same as the R6400 v1 (which I have)
Attached my notes to open the router and to attach a serial cable for the R6400 v1
I live in Germany in the Munich area. I am not that brave to open the router but if I could be of any other help, please let me know. Maybe Kong lives somewhere close and I can bring over my router.
