Any explanation for my printer not being able to connect to 2.4G wifi after it is restarted or enters sleep mode? I can fix it every time by rebooting my e3000 (Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r34311 mega (12/29/17)), but after I restart the printer, it keeps trying to reconnect for 15 seconds in the status window and then dropping and trying to connect again.

I've tried static IP outside of DHCP range, BG legacy mode, and either way, all other wifi devices have no problems, both 2.4 and 5 Ghz.

HP printer support pointed at the router, for what it's worth. no other services on - very low CPU usage, and nothing jumping out in kernel logs.

Checked and made some changes to improve throughput per the recommended settings. Didn't fix this issue, however.

Could it by chance be a printer setting (misspelled wireless password, wrong encryption type, etc)?

The reason why I ask is because no other devices are showing any symptoms.

I suspect printer but hard to attribute since it connects fine after router reboot.

First time after both printer and router booted, connects fine. If printer restarted, can't connect, and status page shows printers MAC connecting for 15 seconds and dropping repeatedly.

Just trying to pinpoint what fault of the printer wifi firmware is resolved by restarting router but not restarting printer. I tried setting key update internal to 60 sec but after 4-5 of the 15 second connection drops still no go. During this repeated connection drops printer doesn't indicate that it's temporarily connected.

I can't just reboot router and call it good because the printer also stops responding to other network devices after it enters sleep mode, even though connection says good on printer and router http server.

Most printers have the ability to Disable sleep mode. That would be a workaround for the issue, I think.
