So here's my story. I have provider Modem/Router 2in1. I want to add another wireless router wirelessly. I have TP-LINK N600 WRD3500 dual. Reason for adding this router is 2 things.
1. extend my wireless network, wifi cam on the garage
2. able to install NAS. drive via router USB.

Saw a video of a guys showing how with his dd-wrt.
so I updated my firmware, to find out mine doesn't look like his. I don't have a repeater only WDS.

later saw a video showing how without dd-wrt but now I'm unable to go back to factory. tried bunch of times.

Could someone help me with adding new router WIRELESSLY via DD-WRT panel?
Master router (internet)- Hitron 192.168.01
Slave router (internet yet) - TP-LINK v1(DD-WRT) 192.168.1.1

Darn it. I'll have to wire my house now. I wish I have my old firmware back.
I could move my modem/router to central place but that mean I would use wifi on my desktop rather than lan.

some say you can't, some say you can. I tried and I can't.

Your router is Atheros, scroll down to the bottom of the link I provided earlier.

I think client bridge is maybe usefull in your case

note: I also only use broadcom stuff, although the R7800 with QCA chipset seems a powerfull router Smile

not sure what you want me to look at the bottom of that page.

I'd decided to go with WIRED LAN2LAN but....
Issue: LAN port not working once , wireless work just fine.
Yes cable is fine, pluging back and forth with Master Router.
I can access Slave router from Master via Lan just fine.
Is this just for wireless extender, disabling wired lan?

All this for wanting to access USB drive attached to 2nd Router.

Why so hard?

Ok, I've been reading and watching video on how to router to router. 90% of it was to LAN2LAN and I came across this LAN2WAN and I can access both router both wirelessly and LAN. I'm still unable to get my USB drive working.

I know it was working with factory and was easy too.
now it's not recognizing my drive.

The options seams to be from an Atheros based router. On an Atheros a Repeater is done by setting the wifi as "Client" and adding a VAP for the client computers to connect to.

Because that is where the Atheros sections is.

Furthermore you seem to have an old build so pherhaps use a more recent build?
