Hello,

I am using an old Fonera in Client mode (connect to 820.1x wireless network and provide local Wifi network via a virtual interface). However it seems, that the virtual interface is only activated when the primary network is connected.

Is there a way to make dd-wrt behave more like a home router and to always provide the "home network" via the virtual interface?

Besides it is a problem, as any mis-configuration requires access via ethernet.

Is there some special setting, I have overlooked?

Thank you very much, thats exactly it. I did not post in the chipset-specific forums, because I could not imagine it could be an hardware issue. But I only used ethernet virtual interfaces in the past and they were always connected...

Anyway, dd-wrt is currently working great, a week uptime, hope I do not have to reconfigure.
