There is still a lot of work = changes being made by Marvell with the drivers and driver firmware.

I'd imagine that there is no point in pumping out questionable versions of dd-wrt until those folks settle down a bit.

It seems they take a step back every time.
Hopefully this stuff will settle down and these things will be semi useful one day.

Well, aairon, I partly agree with you. "Pumping out questionable versions" could prove useful as long as we do treat them as the beta test releases they in fact claim to be.

Polishing user interface, tuning NTP, implementing new features, protocols or security patches are common and general features that progress and evolve for all platforms and routers. The Marvell drivers definitely leave a lot to be desired, but I sincerely hope that the "base WRT" development does not come to a halt because one of the drivers for one platform is flawed.

With a little luck the WRT will have reached a more stable and smooth version by the time Marvell comes up with a functioning driver. And we can still help BS to reach that goal by beta test what doesn't work today with troublesome Marvell drivers.

And I do share your hope for the future! Very Happy

After all, it only has taken them 2 years to get to a driver that should have been available to devs at ship.

Linksys = JUNK.

I also have hope that Marvel / Linksys will solve their problems of compatibility, especially in my country, the Linksys WRT products, besides costing the double of the value not sold in the USA, still do not have local guarantee, since they are not officially sold in Brazil, so it is unviable to try to change or even return my WRT3200 and WRT1900 routers, not to mention an AE-6200 that has not much factory update and is not compatible with any alternative FW.
In addition to these I use an Archer C7 that in terms of speed, steadiness is giving the two WRT, running the DD-WRT already at a time without any problems, but I still have a lot to learn about it to make my network the best possible within that I desire.
