Trying to understand the speeds from router capabilities.I have a Linksys 1900acsv2 it says Wi-Fi Speed:
AC1900 (N600 + AC1300)
My ISP is 300DL/38UL Speeds
So when i checked ethernet connected its 320dl speeds avg. which is fine. When i check wireless connection status which my speed says for 2.4 says 130mbps and speed for 5ghz says 300mbps its only seeing 101mbps on 2.4 and 140mbps on 5ghz when i do a oola speed test,
when i try 80 then the ssid doesnt show in wireless networks connections. Also i tried channel 112 and doesnt work for some reason.out of all the channels that show theres a selected few that show on my wifi anylizer and seems it only works from those channels, guess not all channels work.

Channel 112 is one of the DFS channels. Probably not a good one to pick. I use 149 and have no problems with using 80 mode. Higher channels are allowed to put out more power then the lower.
If you do not know what DFS is it has to do with the fact that the channels used could also have radar in the area on the same frequency, not good as this interferes with radar.
Here is an article on it. The 3200 in the link is not the wrt3200 by the way.

Use WPA2+AES.
I am using wpa2 personal(security mode) & AES(algorithims)

well, have tried vht80 80mhz and the ssid wont show at all.only the ssid in 5ghz set to 40 will show the ssid.So does that mean the vht80 is only meant for ac wifi computers?
They should be able to connect as long as you have ac/n mixed set.
What regulatory domain is the clients?
Yeah you would think that but it doesnt show with ac/n mixed on.I am running latest Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r34876 (02/08/1 Had to switch back to wide ht40 to be seen on network
have thought about switching to a nighthawk r8000.I can get one very cheap and have read from myersw responses that its a better router so...not sure if its a bug or its the router/firmware
