I'm having a problem defining static IP leases on my Asus RT-AC66U router with v24-SP2 (03/25/13). I just updated the router firmware with this version as listed/linked in the router database.
I:
- Go to the Services tab
- Under Static leases I enter the hardware address, a hostname, the desired IP address outside of my normal DHCP range, and a timeout of 1440.
I then scroll to the bottom of the page. Clicking either Add or Save gets me the same error: "is already defined..."
Most of the solutions I've seen on web searches are dated from at least three years ago, and they all seem to list the steps I've performed above.
Always reset to defaults afte uploading and put settings in manually.
Research how to best set to defaults for your router.
Normally for broadcom routers it is "erase nvram" from command line, however your router could brick doing that.
