Hello all this will be another stupid question from me... Alright I installed a new wifi card in my laptop I got an Intel AC 7260 I connect it to my router and im only getting 233Mbps speed from it.... Accrding to what I read shouldnt I get around 8XXMbps from it??? At first when it connects its over 8xxMbps but then slows down to 233Mbps I just thought id get a faster speed from it and the router... Like I said stupid question maybe im looking at it all wrong.

This should go under Broadcom section not General. How are you testing it? _________________ R6400v2 (boardID:30) - Kong 36480 running since 03/09/18 - (AP - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R7800 - BS 31924 running since 05/26/17 - (AP - OpenVPN Client - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R7000 - BS 30771 running since 12/16/16 - (AP - NAS - FTP - SMB - OpenVPN Server - Transmission - DDNS - DNSMasq - AdBlocking - QoS) R6250 - BS 29193 running since 03/20/16 - (AP - NAS - FTP - SMB - DNSMasq - AdBlocking)
When I right click on my wifi I click on Open network and Sharing center then I click on my connection and it tells me what its connected at.. It was all over the place lastnight it dropped down to 72Mbps and then back up to 223,95,330,223

on 2.4 it will go not more than 300 mbit 2x2 streams not many
wi fi cards support 3x3 streams especially on laptop
on 5ghz its different speed 533 is its normal speed it can go
up to 800 or more if speed varies its due to auto tx power
in general intel wi fi cards are not great according compatibility
get Atheros or Broadcom card for best results _________________ Atheros

That's completely normal, it's current "approximate" speed, not max. Do a LAN to WLAN transfer to check the real speed.
As shown here, you can only dream in getting 800mbps:
