socat package for (Kong's) DD-WRT?

Hi all,

I have opkg & JFFS set up. I was hoping installing socat would be as easy as 'opkg update; opkg install socat', but apparently socat isn't in the opkg repo.

Yet socat used to be part of the ipkg repos, as opkg supersedes ipkg I would've thought it would contain more than was offered by ipkg.

Googling around yielded a number of results for installing it on OpenWRT, but not for DD-WRT. I imagine library versions between OpenWRT & DD-WRT differ, so finding a package requiring the exact library versions I have available would be tricky.

Anyone who has socat installed? If so, how did you find/install it?

socat appears to be available in Entware
