Hi
I have spent ages looking around for a fix for this, but can only find that 'enabling IPV6 will fix it'
I don't really want to enable IPV6 on my R7000, so is there any way to get openvpn 2.4 to work with V4 only?
I have changed 'proto udp' to 'proto udp4' but still get the error 'ifconfig: socket: Address family not supported by protocol'
I guess my other option is to roll back to Kong version with Openvpn 2.3, but I cannot find any old versions online.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

For anyone having the same issue, I think I have a fix.
The OpenVpn server was sending IPV6 commands back even though I set the client to udp4.
To fix this I added the following lines to the openvpn.conf file :
pull-filter ignore "ifconfig-ipv6"
pull-filter ignore "route-ipv6"
pull-filter ignore "tun-ipv6"
The VPN now ignores the IPv6 commands and comes up

After a year or so of battling this and resorting to v2.3 builds, adding the ignore ipv6 lines to the config seems to have resolved the issues I had. Thanks for the post.
