Kong's DD-WRT test build 35030M - 2018/02/19 has been released: http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-Arm/TEST/

Your reports for Broadcom units are greatly appreciated !

This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 34800_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Router Model Netgear R8000
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r35030M kongac (02/18/18)
Kernel Version Linux 4.4.116-rc1 #524 SMP Sun Feb 18 12:17:52 CET 2018 armv7l

Status: Working
Reset: No, DDUP --flash-latest
Errors: Minor wifi errors across all bands

After flashing, I noticed that my SSIDs were showing, then they all disappeared, then they came back. This was post reboot of the router. I'm not sure if this is something new or normal. I know when the router reboots, SSIDs will disappear. This happened twice (once for the flash, once for the unknown issue).

Upgraded from 34800.

EDIT: Noticed the time was incorrect in the web ui. Changed the server to time-a.nist.gov and it refreshed correctly.

Can someone help with the following

Feb 18 22:23:57 kern.warn kernel: Ignoring unrecognised tag 0x00000000
Feb 18 22:23:57 kern.info kernel: Memory policy: Data cache writealloc
Feb 18 22:23:57 kern.info kernel: map io
Feb 18 22:23:57 kern.info kernel: MPCORE found at 19020000 (VIRT 99020000) 18000000 98000000
Feb 18 22:23:57 kern.warn kernel: Hit pending asynchronous external abort (FSR=0x00001c06) during first unmask, this is most likely caused by a firmware/bootloader bug.

I'm still seeing issues in the past two builds where my remote desktop connection is "pausing" when I move out of the screen. Meaning, the connection is frozen, then shortly after, resumes the remote connection.

I'm also seeing a lot of DNS resolution issues, even though I'm not using any extra DNS servers. Chrome, my browser of choice, is frequently not loading pages, even after multiple refreshes.

Reset: erase nvram before + factory reset after

After restoring all settings I lost WAN connectivity. Tried disabling dnscrypt and momentarily regained connectivity but lost it again.
ntp errors in log but otherwise nothing there to explain failure.
Similar problems with 34900M too. Back to 34800M, works well on this router.

opkg install ntpdate and run ntpdate with nummeric IP on mount.

Anyone knows why the build was removed from Kong's web location?

You can get the old builds from http://ddwrt-kong.clonevince.fr

Sometimes the test directory is purged when he's in the midst of pushing a new build.

same build# it seems - wonder what’s different. I’ll flash the new ones to see if Rx errors changed.

Router/Version: Netgear R7000
Firmware: v3.0-r35030M kongac (02/18/18 )
Kernel: Linux 4.4.116-rc1 #524 SMP Sun Feb 18 12:17:52 CET 2018 armv7l
Previous: v3.0-r34900M kongac (02/11/18 )
Mode/Status: Up and running for about a day and a half hours
Reset: Soft boot before and after ddup, no 'erase nvram' this time.
Issues/Errors: Just some minor issues:

I still get plenty of "SSL accept error" messages in the log, but I haven't had time to debug my LAN yet.

I'm seeing the ntpclient errors as reported by others. The process seems to be trying to connect via IPv6 which fails on my IPv4 setup. The next attempt via IPv4 works, so the date and time on my R7000 is correct. The ntpclient process runs every hour. Is there a reason for it to run so often?

The temperatures are good: CPU 56.9 °C / WL0 45.0 °C / WL1 48.0 °C (The R7000 is wall-mounted.)

Current basic R7000 setup (subject to change of course):
- SFE - On
- Static WAN IP
- LAN DHCP Enabled
- IPv4 only
- 1 wireless VLAN on wl0
- Encrypt DNS disabled
- Wireless: Regulatory Domain = UNITED_STATES, wl0 Mixed (ch. 1), wl1 NA-Mixed (ch. 161 + 159), AES
- SNMP enabled, SSH enabled, Telnet disabled
- Firewall enabled, Log Level high
- Syslog: remote to Logentries. klogd: disabled.
- USB Flashdrive mounted as JFFS, adblocking via pixelserv
- NO: ttraf, VNC, Zabbix, VPN, Radius, OpenVPN
- NO: Port forwarding, UPnP, DMZ, QoS
- NO: Samba, CIFS, JFFS2, miniDLNA, Entware, Optware

Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r34800M kongac

Tried with ver.2 of this build and again got a number of ntp related errors in the log + no traffic on WAN interface

Code:
Feb 20 16:10:09 Guardian1 daemon.err ntpclient[4997]: Failed connecting to 2.pool.ntp.org [2a00:1a28:1157:149::36a4]: Address family not supported by protocol

Decided to fiddle a bit with my settings:
- Added explicit ntp server and got correct time but still no access to WAN
- Disabled DNSCrypt - this brought back WAN

Seems DNSCrypt is broken and there is still a problem with ntp
