update: 34900 (8 days of uptime) --> 35030
status: operational
reset: no
errors: none so far
This setup is very simple:
*2.4 GHz only with only 1 wireless device in use most of the time.
*Some physically connected systems (via unmanaged switch).
* No USB, no VPN, no entware, etc.
* QoS for buffer bloat (WTB/FQ_CODEL).
* Using this test, I get Overall=A+, BufferBloat=A, Quality=A+
Will post back to update after a few days.
Uptime: 27 days, 18:04
Received (RX) >10M OK, no error
Transmitted (TX) >13M OK, no error

Router: Netgear R8000
Firmware: : DD-WRT v3.0-r35030M kongac (02/19/1
update: 34900 (~7 days of uptime) --> 35030
status: operational
reset: no
errors: none so far
This setup:
opnvpn client
openvpn server
policy routing ( no SFE module)
no wifi
single wan interface
Router: Asus RT-AC68U (H/W Ver: C1)
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r35030M kongac
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r34800M kongac
Status: errors, see below
Reset: erase nvram before + factory reset after
Tried with ver.2 of this build and again got a number of ntp related errors in the log + no traffic on WAN interface
Code:
Feb 20 16:10:09 Guardian1 daemon.err ntpclient[4997]: Failed connecting to 2.pool.ntp.org [2a00:1a28:1157:149::36a4]: Address family not supported by protocol
Decided to fiddle a bit with my settings:
- Added explicit ntp server and got correct time but still no access to WAN
- Disabled DNSCrypt - this brought back WAN
Seems DNSCrypt is broken and there is still a problem with ntp
NTP does work, the error message is because it tries to access ipv6 connection first and then ipv4.
There is a success after
Feb 20 18:17:53 Asus daemon.err ntpclient[21723]: Failed connecting to 2.pool.ntp.org [2607:fcd0:100:8203::5ae3:837d]: Address family not supported by protocol

Just one hint, if dnscrypt is enabled it will not use your configured ntp server, but fixed IPs, as dnscrypt only works if it has the correct time. _________________ KONG PB's: http://www.desipro.de/ddwrt/

Thanks for replying Kong! Some additional input to the issue:
- with my standard setting “DNS encryption enabled” against Opendns I got no access to internet and throttled bandwidth on lan
- Disabling this setting made things work fine
- Noticed a little while ago, using ps, that dnscrypt is still running despite the disabled state.
Regardless everything seem to work well with these settings so I will leave as is but there seems to be some strangeness under the hood _________________ Netgear R7000 on Build 55109

With this build on my netgear r8000 I seem to be getting wireless drops when using wifi calling on a iPhone 6. Am not moving around the house, sitting in one location and get drops. The wireless signal indicated is all bars. I do not notice this when browsing web or streaming, but I think wifi calling is more connection sensitive. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. Upgraded: from DD-WRT v3.0-r34900M kongac (02/11/1 via ddup --flash-latest
Reset: No not this time
Status: Up and running for 24 hours, basic setup as AP, static leases, OpenVPN client ( on PIA) with Policy Based Routing up and running, 2,4GHz, 5Ghz USB storage working. OpenVPN server setup and running.
Samba maybe now needs the Server and Workgroup settings to show up in Windows (will test more)
GUI seems more responsive and quicker
Errors: Yes
OpenVPN with Policy Based Routing does not forward HTTP(s) traffic to the PBR clients with SFE on see: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/5900.
Possible DNS leak see: http://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/6020 Mini-DLNA is not working
Transmit errors on both 2,4 and 5 GHz seems a bit higher than usual

@Kong
Just FYI, past few builds, including this one, I am getting a seriously high amount of TX errors over all the three radios on my R8000. Pretty simple config and nothing has changed apart from the build upgrade.

Thanks for your continued support!
Totally agree - up time of 24 hours
WL0 Received (RX) 3 errors
Transmitted (TX) 11706 errors
WL1
Received (RX) 2 errors
Transmitted (TX) 9149 errors
WL2
Received (RX) 2 errors
Transmitted (TX) 11921 errors
Also note, my wifi repeaters are disconnecting frequently with this build -- 2-3 times a day. _________________ Netgear R8000 (Kong firmware)
