Just wondering. If not this, what else?

It needed updating eventually.

Router: Netgear R7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r35550M kongac (03/28/2018)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.124 #548 SMP Wed Mar 28 09:52:34 CEST 2018 armv7l
Status: Working
Reset: Yes. ddup --flash-latest + erase nvram
Errors: Yes, memory leak when Radio scheduling turns radio off

Hi,
first timer on DD-WRT. I have enabled Radio scheduling, and memory leak starts when radio is turned off. Consequence is router to hang cutting WAN access. Leak takes more than an hour and less than 2 hours to consume free memory (starting at 85% free). I tested switching radio on for just an hour: once radio is turned off leak starts, and when radio is turned on memory is released to its initial level.
I first started with Kong's current stable version and I got the problem, so I tried with this test build and leak is still there.

I searched on forum and found a couple of 1 year old posts on the same issue:
https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=308319&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15 - same issue notified by ricc4rdo, with Kong's reply about a workaround, and

https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=308637 - with confirmation issue was fixed.

In case a solution exists and was documented, apologies for having missed that and thanks in advance for letting me know how to fix that.

Being a first timer, a big thank you to the developers and to the whole community for their contribution to those amazing builds.

Cheers

I have to say the same since installed on March 28 about 13 days ago, it has been stable and performing Great.

Only issue is syslog showing httpd Request Error Code 401 during GUI Login, but it doesn't effect the R7000s day to day operation.

Thanks KONG!

Router: Netgear R8000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r35550M kongac (03/28/1Cool
Kernel: Linux 4.4.124 #548 SMP Wed Mar 28 09:52:34 CEST 2018 armv7l
Status: DNSmasq rejecting ALL dns queries
Reset: No, dup --latest
Errors: DNSmasq is rejecting ALL DNS queries. I have removed all additional config options, removed IPTABLES rules, disabled firewall, turned DNSSEC off, used different static DNS servers... None of it restores DNS to DHCP clients. Ping to DNS servers works fine. Setting static DNS servers on clients works. Any client using the router (10.0.0.1) as DNS server cannot resolve hostnames. The router cannot resolve host names. The DNSmasq log is full of nothing but queries (and DHCP entires) with no response. dig says any query is REJECTED. Even the VPN can't resolve the hostname.

I'm at a loss here, tried everything except a reset at this point.

Sometimes bad/old nvram values can cause strange issues to newer builds, so this is what I do...

BEFORE I made the jump from (older) Build 33770M to (newer)355530M, I 1st documented my WORKING configuration via screen-shots and copying settings/scipts to a file to a PC and also made a nvram backup for the working Build 33770M to ONLY be used to restore only Build 33770M if the new build doesn't work out. I then updated the firmware waited about 2min after bootup and pressed and held the rest-button unit the power LED changed colour. After the next boot-up I logged-in and did Factory Defaults too. After bootup I manually configure the router to my saved documents and files. I been running on this NEW Build for 2 weeks.

But if the NEW build didn't work out for me, no problem reload Build 33770M and reload the nvram backup for Build 33770M and I'm back up again.

Do the same thing for prep. But I try it without a reset first just to see.

It’s working now. I rearranged the order of the additional config entries for DNSmasq and it started working. Which is odd. Whatever it was it’s working now. No reset needed. Very strange, never had an issue with the order of options before.

Ran into a new problem with the Gateway R7000 with over 15 days uptime. The GUI would not load up correctly with a lot of missing data, menu tabs where not labeled. I was able to get into other menus but all had a lot of missing information. I tried a couple of methods to reset httpd service with the same problem, only fix was reboot. I will see if the problem comes back. I still get daemon.err httpd[1323]: Request Error Code 401: Authorization required. please note that the default username is "root" in all newer releases every time I login. Even with the GUI issue all other services where working fine: DNSCrypt, OpenVPN, IPv6, YAMon3, etc...

got a very specific problem here, i had a powerloss and after that, the router was very weird, unstable ( cable or wireless ).
A normal reboot command solved all issues.

Working with LED issues. The LAN led never comes on. The 5Ghz led comes on even though I have it disabled. If this is an old issue... sorry, I have been away for awhile. If there is a workaround, please post a link. TNX

I have an R8000 withe the latest firmware.

I've been on this since it came out and I've been noticing that my wifi drops and comes back regularly. For example, my phone will show an exclamation mark on the wifi symbol, then go to 4G, then quickly back to wifi every hour or so. Any ideas? This wasn't an issue before.
Also, is this bad?

Check the router logs for anything that matches the time interval of an hour.
It could be the cell phone.

No, your Tx/Rx looks fine.
