Hi all

I was hoping someone might be able to help me get my head round creating a Wireless Repeater setup. I have two routers that are both loaded with DD-WRT, the models are as follows:

Asus RT-N66U with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (02/04/15) mega
Asus RT-N16 with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (07/20/12) mega

I would like to share my internet with a neighbour, the signal isn’t strong enough hence me wanting to extend it. I want to create a separate SSID on my N66U and repeat that on the N16 which will be in my neighbours property.

I would like the N16 to be on a different subnet so it can’t access my devices, I would also like to limit the bandwidth on the other wireless network if possible. I tried following the Wiki guides available but couldn’t get it working.

Any help or advice is very much appreciated.

I’ve changed my approach from what I wrote above...

Can anyone recommend what the best current firmwares are for the Asus RT-N16 and RT-N66U please?
