Hi all,
Sorry to bother you with this noob question but i lost my internet connection and my IT gui is away on vacations.
Could someone help me with the configuration of the 2nd router so that he can access it over the internet?
The 1st Router is a Technicolor TG784n V3 with DMZ activated on the ip 192.168.2.101 . This router is provided by the ISP and has the IP 192.168.2.1.
The 2nd Router is a TP-Link Archer C7 (AC1750) V4 EU with DD-WRT, don't know the firmware version right now because i'm at home.
I use the 2nd router and i can print, ping and do many things in "my network" but i just can't go to the internet, send/receive emails and teamviewer can't access internet either.
Could someone tell me how to configure these fields? I've read some posts, tried some settings and nothing:
Just did the reset to factory defaults on the Router with DD-Wrt and it didn't work.
Set the router to static ip:
192.168.2.101 (DMZ on router 1)
255.255.255.0
192.168.2.1 (gateway)
Static DNS 1~3 at 0's
Network Setup:
Local ip address: 192.168.1.1
subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1
Local DNS: 0's
DHCP TYpe: DHCP Server (enable)
Use DNSMasq for DHCP checked
Use DNSMAsq for DNS checked
DHCP-Authoritative UNchecked
Forced DNS Redirection UNchecked~
still able to communicate/print/ping with my printer and other PC but no internet, no email.. nothing.
What's wrong? please, i can't even have help by teamviewer.

@Eibgrad's advice is correct (always is )
But if I understand correctly your first router has a DMZ setup on 192.168.2.101.
So I would start with @Eibgrad's advice, you should then have internet access.
If that is working you can change "WAN Connection type" on the set up page from its default "Automatic Configuration-DHCP" to "Static IP" use WAN Ip Address 192.168.2.101 , net mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.2.1 and for DNS leave at 0.0.0.0 to use your ISP DNS server or use Google or OpenDNS _________________ Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.

Thanks for the reply, i did what eibgrad suggested and it didn't work - reset and try with default settings.
Then i edited the settings as i described, and no success.
do i leave the 1st gateway field at 0's? the 2nd or both?
these are my current (not working) settings:
Thanks a lot to both
EDIT: I forgot to mention that now i'm using Fiber from vodafone, there's a white device before the ISP Router.
Those devices are connected to the 2nd Router/DD-Wrt Router. Everything works super fast - printing, accessing my surveillance cams and server based software. Internet.. nothing :\
i tried to ping 8.8.8.8 from command prompt of my laptop, don't know how to ping anything by other process.
because i started to suspect that my router might be damaged i used 2 routers, a tp-link wdr3600(the one i suspected could be damaged) and a tp-link archer c7, both with dd-wrt and with both had the same results.
I'm starting to consider that the ISP router could be damaged although i can browse and send emails if i connect to the 1st router by wireless.
I'm at home now and "Somehow" i managed to access the server over the internet, at 00:00 my server "popped" in teamviewer ))
What i did different: when i was leaving i connected the 2nd router/dd-wrt router to lan port 3 of the 1st router/isp router (was connected to the lan port 4). Also, i changed the 1st dns server from the suggested 8.8.8.8 to 208.67.222.222 (with save, apply and reboot).
IF i try to go to google the browser returns an error "www.google.com took to long to respond" but if i wait a minute or 2 browser refreshes by itself and shows googles webpage (weird?)
If i try to search a phrase in google it gives me results but if i click on a link it wont browse, it gives an error saying "canot connect to this site"
i know how to do this:
Is it of any help?
Thanks
EDIT: Update 2, when i finished writing this i went back to the browser and the link that i clicked and "took too long to respond" was correctly open in browser.
Sorry for not replying earlier but i had to catch-up the work at home.
I need to use Static IP's in order to use some software, tried DHCP and one of them won't even start due licensing error.
I flushed the dns and rebooted, nothing changed and the last behaviour persists - fail to connect, wait a minute or two and the webpage appears by itself and impossible to send/receive emails.
"my money" is on the ISP router, tried to call ISP support but waiting times were too long.
The reason why couldn't access the internet with my 2nd router is because my ISP implemented PPPoe settings in my Fiber connection, with ISP router MAC Address registered on the ONT and a limit of 1 public IP.
The DMZ option no longer works and the bridge mode has been removed from the options on the ISP Router.
Now i'm ... because i still have 19 moths of contract to comply and nothing works.
My ISP is Vodafone and by what i've seen on the internet these measures have been applied here in Portugal recently, and on Spain at least for a year.
Is there a place more suitable to try getting a solution?
This is the hardware that i have available:
1 ONT ZTE ZXHN F601 With Vodafone settings - Locked i presume
1 Technicolor Tg784n V3 With Vodafone's Custom Firmware
1 TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 V4 with DD-WRT
1 TP-Link WDR3600 V1.4 With DD-WRT (Spare)
1 D-Link DGS-1210-28 (Managed Switch)
1 Cisco SPA2102 or Linksys PAP2T (If needed i can buy one of these to solve the VOIP issue)
1 Noob ready to translate pages in portuguese with info about ASUSWrt-Merlin settings.
I even found a Spanish Post that explains how to make a cable and read the info from the ZTE ONT, if necessary i'll do it.
