Brainslayer has released a new build. Hope this is to fix the dhcp issues folks had with previous build.

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/04-06-2018-r35681/

Driver version: 10.3.4.0-20180330

As usual report your success or failures.

Report: Installed r35681-2018.04.06 on my WRT1900ACS_v1 as a flash upgrade, keeping existing config. No issues for my config noticed so far - including DHCP, DNS, NTP all working for me unlike last build (r35667). I did notice I'm getting a 'B' grade on buffer bloat in multiple tests which lately has been 'A' (dslreports) - but I have connectivity! Smile

Kernel Info: Linux 4.9.92 #124 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 2 01:55:33 CEST 2018 armv7l

DD-WRT config reference for my WRT1900ACS_v1 (not vanilla, not overly complex): mostly wired devices ~75, wireless using 5GHz-AC Only & 2.4GHz-Mixed both @ 20MHz width non overlapping channels (also have 2 APs in house) w/ ~20 clients, IPv6 on, OpenVPN server + segmented network, DHCP reservations for all known devices, access rules (internet block security cameras), port forwards, no QOS, firewall rules (OpenVPN & Guest), Guest 2.4GHz wifi segmented network

I don't know why, but any build I run of DD-WRT just has very buggy wifi on my WRT1200ac. As soon as I boot into Linksys stock partition everything works fine.

Even on this latest build, my mac cannot connect to the 5G network regardless of what settings I use, and the 2.4g is slow and high pings. Yet, when on stock partition everything works just great.

I'm not an extreme tester for wireless but here's some info from my setup. I have my WRT settings pretty fixed and I have two other wired Access Points on each end of my house with non-overlapping channels. I keep width down to prevent overlap. I get close to 80Mbps down on my 5GHz AC from my iphone with this setting (I have tried VHT80 with much faster speeds but prefer non-overlap in my config). I use WPA2-Personal AES for all WiFi. I haven't played with advanced settings that I remember - TX Power - 23dBm auth0, 30dBm auth1 - defaults? Screen of my WRT settings in case the settings trigger any thoughts. For me my wireless has been quite stable through the builds.

I installed it on my 1900ac v1 and wiped all settings and started from scratch...

First it was up 2h until it crashed.. (had to power cycle)
Then 5h (had to power cycle)
Then 5min (had to power cycle)

Now I turned off the Speed checker as that was the last thing I saw in the log before it crashed last time.

Have you read this thread?

If so you would know that the v1 does not like any kernel higher then 4.4. That is the reason for your reboots.

Just installed this from 3.5.2018 (r35244). If anyone is curious, this has a fairly new driver:

Still up after I disabled speedtest, now 8:30h and counting.
Should maybe add that I've disabled both wifi's, but I did that right after installing.

But I can't get PBR to work under OpenVPN Client, does it work for anyone else?

My only PBR is:
10.0.0.101/32 (works well in the old, reliable firmware from last year)

They have been like that forever, including the wrt1900ac v1. There was a forum member that posted how to replace with brighter leds, but I do not have a link for it. Might try a search if you are interested.

This

it would appear this is just another failure of the new release(s). I don't use PBR but if it worked in your old build your best bet is to revert back to that build and open a trouble ticket and hope the ticket gets addressed. In my case the Authorized Key (ssh authentication) is still broken on the wrt3200, same as the last build and build prior to that.. It's not unusual for dd-wrt updates to paralyze other dd-wrt core features that have worked previously. Another dd-wrt update casualty that comes to mind was DLNA, let’s see how long that takes to get fixed. Good Luck

Is there a stable release for wrt1900ac, or are we stuck with these beta's where most of the features aren't working properly?

take a look at myersw's second post and see if that helps. dd-wrt is always beta, there are no builds ever earmarked "stable" like with other firmwares
