I have Netgear R7000 a few years old with DD-WRT and find I get about 130mbps from my internet on 5ghz wifi but my cable internet speed is 200. I do not believe interference is an issue. Is this typical WAN to Wifi performance on this router?

I am thinking I need a newer faster router. If so, which give the best DD-WRT support (with fewest bugs) among the newer 7000P/7500/7800/8000/8000P/8500/9000 routers? What other high end routers should I consider outside of Netgear (with good DDWRT support)?

Thanks

Also, router must have good range for large house and support both 2.4 and 5ghz wifi bands. Price is not a concern.

Man did you even read the OP post? Haha. R7800 is not always the solution.

Why dont you post your suggestion on router(s) instead of being rude to someone who replied?

Because that answer is non sense. As you were perfectly pointed out by egc on the thread I linked. That's the correct the answer.
