It seems my computer got an virus attack after my wife installed unknown app on my Windows PC. Now, the computer was locked and has no access to it. Besides reinstallation, any other way out?

Safe guard and backup your data first, then do a clean-install.

Is it a desktop PC? Notebook?

Off topic for this form but best bet, leave the infected disk alone. Swap it out for a spare or new disk. do a clean install of windows and a good AV. Plug the infected disk in with a USB adapter and pull off any files you need. hopefully it's not one of those ransomware viruses that encrypt all your docs.

Once you got everything off that disk you need, full format it and set it aside as a new spare disk.

I don't care how good someone or some software thinks it is at removing all those crappy spyware/viruses, I would never trust a windows install that was previously infected with something.

Thanks for the helpful solution. Actually, everything is ok and acts normal before reboot. It is SATA disk, how to put off files with USB adapter?
