Then I did a factory reset. Internet was back!!!! Next, I added back a rule in port-forwarding screen. Bang ... BOOM... no internet. Even SSH was not accessible. Telnet still worked.
SO I telnet into DD-WRT, and did ping tests. Everything worked. So only LAN clients could not access internet, but not DD-WRT itself.
Then I remembered a post I responded to bdg2 in the Atheros forum ( https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=314868 ), and set the Source Net field to "0.0.0.0/0" instead of a BLANK. HA HA HA HA... internet was BACK!
This is a serious bug as everyone has been using a blank Source Net to mean all interfaces. You better fix this ASAP by always translating a blank Source Net into "0.0.0.0/0" in the codes.
I will follow up with another test success post for this build. This post is just about the bug.
Update:
And do NOT forget about those wikis pages that talk about port-forwarding. I barely remember that they also assumed a blank Source Net to mean all interfaces.
This bug reminded me of another previous bug I reported about a blank Source Net field (builds 32667 to 32767), being displayed as "¸ÖÁv". jwh7 replied me on that ( https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=314739 ).

Things i have noticed....when i backup i get a full description of the build version rather than just nvrambak. Adding Source Net 0.0.0.0/0 made the router see the internet for LAN i had WIFI.
I ran iptables -L iptables -t nat -LBefore i added 0.0.0.0/0 to the Source Net.
iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination
A present i have WIFI on 2.4&5Ghz and LAN with Source Net 0.0.0.0/0.
I will use this build for a while and see how it responds with Source net of 0.0.0.0/0 and no DNSCrypt enabled, If i get any problems i will report back.
Hope this helps you figure out where the issue/s is/are.

1. To mean all source IP addresses, Source Net in Port Forwarding canNOT be blank! It needed to be "0.0.0.0/0"! See previous post.
2. Running "cat /proc/mtd" in Administration -> Commands still didn't escape special characters properly:

Miscellaneous:
- Router not using IPv6, VPN nor USB
- Router is NOT working 24/7
- WiFi broken in k3.x editions since build 35531?
Old problems:
a. DDNS (inadyn) crashed in build 31722
b. Testing port-forwarding via WAN IP from within LAN not working in builds 34411-34760. Needed external proxy server.
c. NTP client not working in builds 34886-34876,35034 (affecting process_monitor?)
d. The ping to www.google.com increased from 2ms to 13ms after setting a defunct
WINS server in Setup->Basic Setup->DHCP->WINS
e. The "Source Net" field in Port-Forwarding screen displayd blank field as "¸ÖÁv",
from builds 32667 to 32767. Possibly null-pointer assignment?

when will they really repair the main problems?
I have seen people complaining about the 5GHz wireless LAN.... maybe this is the priority as those routers are more expensive. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
