I've got a Linksys WRT1900ACS v2 and have just flashed the latest DD-WRT release. It is connected to a BT Openreach Fibre modem using PPPoE.

Client machines can connect to the LAN and WLAN and can access the router's admin pages but they cannot connect to or ping internet hosts.

I can run ping or wget from the router's admin Commands tab and both work fine, proving that the router is connecting to my ISP properly.

What have I missed?

ok, don't worry about it. I reset the router again and setup from scratch and it's working now. I have no idea what the problem was before.

I've found the problem and it's a bit weird.
The problem occurs whenever I add any port forwarding.

No port forwarding = working internet
Single port forward = non-working internet

Doesn't seem to matter which ports I forward.
Removing all port forwards restores internet connectivity.

I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGMKZWkFEmk

but it's rather old and so I'm unsure if it's still relevant.

Interestingly, the Port Range Forwarding feature does not seem to trigger this behaviour, so I have manage to get it to do what I need using Port Range Forwarding.

Individual Port Forwarding still breaks the internet!

Over on the broadcomm side they are reporting this issue and fixing it with adding 0.0.0.0/0 in the "source net" field under "port forwarding" would restore the internet connection.

I can confirm the workaround works for me on build r35874
* set the port forwards with source net 0.0.0.0/0 - all working fine!

I guess I need to read that forum more. Smile

I just realised, I never thought to check the bugtracker. Someone's already raised the issue there:
