Hello,
I have an r7800 router and now I'm using firmware "DD-WRT v3.0-r35700M kongat (04/09/1Cool".
My issue is when I tried to go back to stock firmware.
First step
From Administration-Firmware upgrade I choose "ddwrt-to-netgear-fw-R7800.bin" and press upgrade button but power led stay orange (wait 10 min. to start) and the firmware is not loaded.
Second step
I put r7800 in rescue mode, power led go from orange to white and start blinking, open command prompt from windows set static ip to PC and "tftp -i 192.168.1.1 PUT Factory.img" and response is successfully transferred. Router restart and the power led stay for a couple of sec. orange, blink once and stay orange waiting for 5 min but led stay orange and firmware is not loaded.
This is happening only when i try to go from any custom firmware to stock.
I also can go from dd-wrt to lede_r7800_hnyman but i can't go back to stock firmware.
I tried to go from dd-wrt to stock and from lede_r7800_hnyman to stock, but without success.
I also tried to go to Voxel'firmware but without success - power led stay orange and firmware is not loaded.
Any help will be very appreciated.

This is the solution for repairing router.
Code:

ubifs is corrupt and you need to clean this area:

0x000003480000-0x000007900000

Stop with ctrl-c at uboot prompt and enter this command:

nand erase 0x3480000 0x4480000

then run command:

fw_recovery

tftp netgear fw again e.g.:

tftp 192.168.1.1
binary
put netgear...chk

Solution was given by Kong, so thank you.

Nice. Maybe he should put that in the readme in his firmware directory.

Is serial cable required for that or could you elaborate a bit the whole process? Thank you in advance!

So currently the only way to go back to stock firmware is to use serial cable? Sad

No, it happened something strange to mine, maybe i made something wrong.

Normally, if you want to go from dd-wrt to stock, you can use http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-IPQ806X/NetgearFW/ddwrt-to-netgear-fw-R7800.bin .
Good luck.
