Hi all,

I'm having trouble logging in to my router web config all of a sudden and am having a devil of a time figuring out what is going on. Perhaps you all can help me figure out what to do without having to do a hard reset which will wipe out my complicated (to me) configuration. I have tried unplugging the power without hitting the reset button for several minutes with no improvement.

I'm running DD-WRT v24-sp2 on an Asus RT-N66U. This has been rock solid for years and is still giving me great internet access. Suddenly though I find I cannot log into the web UI. When I use Chrome to go to 192.168.1.1 it returns back ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.

I am able to telnet into it but really don't know what I'm doing with the CLI. I did use the stopservice and startservice commands to restart the web daemon with no change in the connection refusal.

One other interesting this is that when I used the setuserpasswd command it returned "deadlock detected, try to fix it".

Also the output of the dmesg | tail command does not look at all like what I see in the wiki. Mine is filled with lines like:
ACCEPT IN=wl0.1 OUT=vlan2 MAC=76:d0:2b:5e:60:f3:c0:d3:c0:13:24:69:08:00 SRC=192.168.10.121 DST=172.217.0.46 LEN=60 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=63 ID=51582 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=37597 DPT=443 SEQ=1283587680 ACK=0 WINDOW=65535 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 OPT (020405B40402080A017F371E0000000001030307)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking.

I was finally able to get the web interface running again by issuing the following commands through telnet:

killall httpd
killall httpd
/usr/sbin/httpd -h /www

Did as you advised, but to no avail. Issue remains. It only occurs with Chrome, and only for 192.168.1.1 (router), all other browsers and web sites working just fine. Wiped Chrome out of W7 completely and reinstalled but no good either.

My FW version is DD-WRT v3.0-r35531 std (03/26/2018) for WRT3200ACM

Thanks, Ost
