I'm looking for anyone who has experience with this access point. I have a set of 4 I bought off ebay, and every single one of them has set the setting to "disable the reset button" on the software end, and they no longer have the username and password. They labeled the IP configuration on them.... so joy, I can get to the login page. But I can't login and I can't factory reset the thing.
Wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to JTAG this. There's a 4 pin header that almost looks like a console port when I took them apart, but it's only 4 pins. I thought console ports were usually 9 pins?
I found an instruction on open-wrt that talks about connecting to the console port and TFTP'ing, but gives absolutely zero guidance on how to physically connect it to the PC.
Any help here would be immensely helpful. Thank you!
Ok I was able to at least get in via a serial connection. There are bootup options I can choose. pressing 4 gets me to the command line. If I simply erased the boot loader ENV config would that work or am i bricking it if i do that?
Please choose the operation:
2: Load Linux System code then write to Flash via TFTP.
4: Entr boot command line interface.
6: Load Linux Kernel then write to Flash via TFTP.
7: Load Linux filesystem then write to Flash via TFTP.
8: Load Linux uboot then write to Flash via TFTP.
9: Load Boot Loader code then write to Flash via TFTP.
e: Erase Boot Loader ENV config.
