What browser are you using, and are you logged into GitHub with your own account? Nothing new, we see it all the time, it's a quirk of some sort. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Brwoser is Firefox. It was working fine without the need to login GitHub, until these few days. Also, instead of searching DD-WRT's source codes, I could only search issues now. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Problem continues to today 24 Jun. Same error message: "This repository's code is being indexed right now...".
I also could not search the source codes in my own GitHub repository after logging in. Same error message displayed. If I didn't login, I could only search issues. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Another quirk, you can't search a forked repository for some reason. Logged in or not. Have you tried Chrome? _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Looks as if search function is broken or defaults to the indexing message. To search code, you now have to be logged in, and it appears that browser does not matter. Fucking GitHub and their bullshit. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Maybe there are just too many robots and maybe A.I. chat-bots using if not abusing GitHub's search function.
What will ChartGPT and OpenAI do if asked to write a program? The obvious solution is to find existing programs' source codes in GitHub and SourceForget?
Anyway, rigth NOW logging in still didn't let you search source codes, but ended with the same error message.
Code:
This repository's code is being indexed right now....

Discovered a new error!
It's getting very difficult to search GitHub's source codes online??
And things will only and soon get worse?
As US military step in????

Something I have noticed, lately, is that Firefox is behaving somewhat randomly.
I was getting strange errors and anomalies, so I switched to chrome. That solved everything.
I then deleted Firefox and all the user data, basically purged everything to do with firefox.
Then I reinstalled it and it works perfectly. I see the start of this thread
is in June 2023. It is now late August.
I suggest you backup your bookmarks and totally purge everything to do with firefox.
Then reinstall with v117.
That solved many problems for me. _________________ Always two things switching

That didn't rule out the possibily that GitHub made some changes to deny certain(?) Firefox users from doing regular search with or without login.
That also didn't explain why Firefox had a problem that require some degree of reset.
Too strange... I didn't say you were wrong! It's just too strange. It worked before! Too strange.... too strange....
Would you suddenly play with browser cache and user-agent strings? Or even IP addresses? You don't usually do that.
Too strange.... too strange.... it should have been a deliberate block! It could have been an order from US Government. It's just too strange... _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Double-reply for double the pleasure, I s'pose. <lol> It does seem that GitHub or the repo owner is doing something to make shit difficult. So, do an SVN checkout or Git clone and grep the root directory for your search expression, maybe? _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

I tried a private window, same error saying "the repository is being indexed" even after I logged in. The "Whoa" error was seen by accident when I mistyped some letters in the address bar of Firefox.
No interest to clear cookies of Github in Firefox right now, as I downloaded the source codes using `git clone --depth 1`. I frankly don't wanna do this if online search works. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

The cultpit is likely the history function. It's a big download itself when you use complete git clone.
The history thing might be related to legal responsibiliies. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
