Hello, I have a Netgear WNDR3700v5 running DD-WRT v3.0-r52894 std (though I'm posting here because I don't believe it's specific to this hardware as I have a couple of these and only one is doing it). When I access it remotely via the web interface it correctly prompts me for the username and password and lets me in.
Once inside, I can begin to browse tabs, but after a certain period of time it just stops responding (to me remotely, the router is still functioning and accessable to a user on the LAN) and my browser times out. If I attempt to telnet into it when this happening, I get a "connection to host lost" message. Often, after some time period (which isn't fixed, sometimes 10 minutes, sometimes 30, sometimes 3 hours), it'll let me back in (via web UI or telnet) but it repeats the same thing all over again.
Is there anything I can log to find out what's happening? Or is my best bet to just do a "nvram && reboot" and start over again in hopes that this solves the problem?

Did you hit <Apply> or <Save> right before this happened?
I suspect the router was possibly rebooting after you hit <Apply> to make changes to DD-WRT. Some changes require a reboot while some just require restarting of service. The former needs more time than the latter. If you just hit <Save>, no rebooting nor restarting would happen and hence an immediate response.
But "30 minutes" and "3 hours" was way too much. Have you ever encountered this before build 52894?? Were you talking about wired or wireless connection to the router's WEBUI? _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

Nope. Didn't hit anything other than browsing tabs (most often just status tabs to check on clients, etc).
52894 is the first of the firmware files I used so I can't answer the previous question, but these particular v5 routers just became supported this year and there were very few, if any, firmware files before hand to have tested with.
