Router/Version: TP-Link TL-WR841ND v10
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r54095 std (11/22/23) / Linux 3.18.140-d6 #185219 Wed Nov 22 06:45:34 +06 2023 mips
Previous/Reset: r54079 / no reset
Mode/Status: WDS Station with network mode "N / G mixed" and channel width "Full (20 MHz)" | no connection to WDS AP after update
Issues/Errors: Because of no connection to WDS AP i found this in syslog on WDS Station => [wpa_supplicant] : Error on startup, returncode 255
Reverted to r54079 and checked how wpa_supplicant is running. Saved content of "/tmp/wlan0_wpa_supplicant.conf" and reupdated device to r54095. Compared configs and in new version was this additional line:
disable_he=1
Removed this line and tried to start wpa_supplicant. This time the service could be started and connect to WDS AP. For testing, i stopped the service again, readded the line and service won't start anymore. Without that line the service starts.

Stubby DNS over TLS I DNSCrypt v2 by mac913
My newly purchased Netgear XR500 Pro arrived today.
Flashed via GUI from DumasOS to DD-WRT r54095 - felt like living dangerously.
Eventually the DD-WRT initial screen came up - by then I'd lost most of my fingernails.
It didn't like it initially - ethernet/initial screen dropped out several times and I thought I'd got it into a boot loop.
Eventually it settled.
I flashed it again (with reset) to do the second partition.
It came back up eventually, and I proceeded to set it up as my main Gateway.
It's a very basic setup - 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi with WPA2/3.
Been up for 2 hours - so far so good.
Only issue is the Internet LED is not lit up.
Will tweak it further later.
Might also try and boot into other partition and see what happens.
I also purchased a secondhand Netgear XR1000 - that one will stay on DumasOS.
EDIT:
Decided to try out 2nd partition on XR500 by 3x reboot method.
Result: it goes back to r54095 already setup, rather than the other non-setup partition.
So it appears that I'm working without a net again. _________________ ------------------------------------

Are you sure the XR500 is dual partition?
Choosing reset while upgrading is not recommended there is a slight chance of bricking, better reset after update.
I tried to reboot 3x to swap partitions but it went back to original one.
(see my Edit, just b4 you posted)
I assumed XR500 was dual partition, as R7800/EA8500 used to be - same chipset family.
Can someone clarify if this is the case or not? _________________ ------------------------------------

I have TL-WA901nd-V3(setup as a repeater) and after I updated to r54095 or r54109, I see that it cannot connect to the wifi network I configured(Station mode). I also have virtual wlan interface in AP mode which appears to work correctly. I haven't tryed erasing the nvram while upgrading.
