Hello,

I have read the following article indicated in other post to me by dale_gribble39 :
https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_access_point

I would like to use my DD-WRT Archer C7 as a secondary router on a separate subnet.
My ISP modem router has IP 192.168.1.254 and my DD-WRT Archer C7 has the following static IP 192.168.1.9 on it.
The subnet on DD-WRT Archer C7 is 192.168.2.1

I wish to be able to access my secondary router from devices on my primary LAN, so as indicated on the article I enabled Web GUI management in the Remote Access section of the Administration/Management page.

Then I should then be able to access the secondary router by typing in its WAN IP Embarassed .
My questions :
- How to ?
- Where ?
- Can I fis in the file explorer (Windows and Linux) both networks at the same time and explore them ?

You should be able to access the GUI or CLI of the router if you enabled WAN access for them by going to the 192.168.1.9 address. From the 192.168.2.0/24 LAN behind the Archer, you should be able to see any devices on the 192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.2.0/24 subnets. As far as the Archer is concerned, 192.168.1.0/24 is part of the "internet", so without adding firewall rules on the Archer, you won't be able to see any 192.168.2.0/24 devices from the 192.168.1.0/24 LAN, just as no one on the internet can see the 192.168.1.0/24 devices. You can also, if required, prevent some or all 192.168.2.0/24 devices from seeing some or all 192.168.1.0/24 devices using iptables rules on the Archer.

It should also be noted that any devices on the 192.168.2.0/24 subnet will be double-NATed to the internet. This can cause issues with certain applications such as gaming servers or VPNs. 90% of the time this shouldn't be an issue, but you should be aware of the potential for issues.
