Hi Everyoine, I've already converted an R6700 to a R7000, now I have the chance to do the same with a R6700V3 but there is no specific info about doing it with it.
Is it the same hardware? Should I use the same procedure?
With the actual firmware version I'm not able to use telnet via telnetenable (it runs fines but get no telnet access).
Should I downgrade the stock firmware to an older version?

Thanks

Why do you need to convert it as there is DDWRT firmware for R6700v3 already ?
And no, its not that easy as it seams, unless those units are extremely identical...but they are not..

Your question(s) has/have already been answered in the other thread. TWICE. Sorry, no cross-posts and asking the same question several different ways hoping for a different outcome.

Unfortunately not. The v3 is a totally different chipset.

Why on earth would yo want to do that the R6700v3 runs with 128 KB nvram the R7000 with 64 KB nvram and the hardware is not the same either.
