Just let me start by saying you are a total douche. I know you deal with people that aren't paying customers, and some of those aren't too terribly bright, but i think you should show at least a "benefit of the doubt" respect for those in this forum. The person that posted here first showed a pretty clear understanding but you, like yourself replied with a !@#$ing wikipedia link. I understand you have no tact, but you could at least attempt to not degrade people that pay for your product.
I think everyone has had this problem with the Senao products. I am ebaying mine tomorrow because of the stability issues it has and going back to the free version on my WRT54G because i get better speed, distance (same antenna and power configuration) and i don't have to reboot it every three days to keep it working for my customers. I think it's sad that your paid products perform this poorly and yet your free stuff is so great.
As usual, people do not understand that dd-wrt is not his product. Sash gives his own time to support people and help them.
Sometimes, his answers are not nicely accepted, but believe me, repeating hundreds of time the same thing is also extremely frustrating for the people giving support.
Many times I dont spend my time answering, as users dont even look at the peacock or wiki, neither perform searches.
On the other side, I admit that being used to work with broadcom hardware (WHR-HP-G54), I am also surprised by the issues I am getting with the senaos EOC-2610.
I spent more time to having them working fine, but still not exactly the performance I was expecting. What is interesting also, is that the issues I was having with the WHR-HP-G54, have totally disappeared with the EOC-2610, but I would like to get a little more speed.
Running them at +15dB seems to be fine, and I get a real 7-8Mbit/s.
